Common questions
Is it really free?
Yes. You can get feedback on up to three answers a day without an account. A free account removes the daily limit while DontBlank is in beta.
Do I need to sign up?
No. Record an answer and get your feedback straight away. If you want to keep it, create a free account from the feedback page and it’s saved with your recording.
Is my recording stored?
Yes. Your recording, transcript and feedback are stored so we can check the quality of the feedback and fix problems with it. Your recording is sent to our transcription provider and your transcript to our AI provider to produce the feedback. Without an account, none of it is linked to your name or email.
How is the score worked out?
An AI coach rates relevance, structure, specificity and clarity from your transcript against a fixed rubric. Delivery is measured from your pace, filler words and hesitant pauses. Each part has a set weight, shown on the report.
Will it tell me whether I’d pass the interview?
No. It’s practice feedback, not an employer’s score or a prediction of a result. AI transcription and feedback can make mistakes, so use it to choose one thing to change on your next take.
Can I use my own question?
Yes. On the practice screen, choose to write your own question, then record your answer to it.
